W.H.T.I. related, Cross Border Service for U.S. Carriers
May 26, 2009
The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) is law June 1st, 2009. From that day forward, carriers crossing the U.S. / Canadian border will require specific iron-clad documentation beyond the previously acceptable and readily available driver's licenses and birth certificates. This major security initiative, with its backlog of passport applications and impending deadlines, has created difficulties for many U.S. carriers entering Canada.
If you anticipate any issues getting your shipments to Canada after June 1, Pacific Coast Express Limited can help. U.S. carriers will find our rates (260 KB, PDF) a small price to pay for getting shipments across the WHTI-secured border to Canadian destinations on-time, safely, and within budget.
From Seattle or Blaine WA to all points in Western Canada, Pacific Coast Express--a C-TPAT validated, PIP designated, FAST and Bonded carrier with CSA approved Canada Customs warehousing—ensures that your load moves across the border without incidents or delays. PCXL moves regular cargo such as paper, foodstuffs, furniture, and manufactured goods; cargo of high value such as sporting goods and electronics; or hazardous and dangerous goods.
